Position Overview:
We are seeking an individual with a background in the electrical engineering industry. As a Trainer at OCU Academy, you will play a pivotal role in our journey to expand our course offerings, particularly in CompEx and High Voltage Training. You will be responsible for delivering High-quality Training sessions, sharing your expertise, and helping us meet our goal of becoming the premier Training Centre for electrical engineering not only in our region, but UK wide. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and demonstrate ease in collaborative team settings. Furthermore, the successful candidate will exhibit excellent organisational skills, a methodical approach to tasks, and an inherent knack for precision. Adaptability to learning new systems within a dynamic environment is essential, accompanied by tenacity, perseverance, and a proactive attitude when addressing challenges and adapting to change.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct Training sessions for a variety of electrical engineering courses, including CompEx Training (Gas/Vapours, Dust, Mechanical, Responsible Person), Low Voltage and High Voltage Training.

Develop and deliver engaging and informative Training materials.

Create and update course content to ensure it meets industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Evaluate and assess the progress of trainees and provide constructive feedback.

Collaborate with our team to continuously improve our Training programs.

Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance the quality of our courses.

Participate in the development of new courses and programs in the High Voltage Training area.

Ensure a safe and supportive learning environment for all trainees.
Qualifications/ Experience:

Proven experience as a trainer in the electrical engineering field is desirable but not essential.

Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, particularly in CompEx and/or High Voltage is advantageous.

Relevant industry certifications and qualifications. (A1 (TAQA) Assessor or equivalent, Internal Verification Qualification)

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Ability to adapt to different learning styles and needs.
